To cake or not to cake?

Hello pretties!
Today I'm going to review CAKE FOUNDATIONS.

It's mostly used in pagaents, special occasion or wahtsoever .. because of it's "heavy" coverage.

To apply it, you must use a wet sponge to stick in..
It tends to be cakey if it doesnt blend well or if you put much.
Its better to top it off by a setting powder to create flawless finish.
What I dont like about is that It can make your face look "FLAT".. Yes. Flat. but you can contour your face to add definition plus highlight to lift up and brighten your face :)

I have 3 cake foundations.

1 Nichido and 2 Kokuryu cake pans.

First of is the nichido..
Shame on me because I picked the wrong shade!
when I was on the mall, I dont test it with wet sponge. I only scratched the cake then immediately put on my wrist, then blended it. I thought It was perfect.
Its on the shade "cool pink"..
PINK. I'm not on pinkish tone. I'm on the neutral tone. So when I tested it on my face with wet sponge,
hell. my face was darker than my neck. I was like Tanned.

Gladly it is only sold at Php80.. not heavy on the pocket :)

Next is the 2 kokuryu.

I think its a japanese brand.

I'm loyal to these :)

In my highschool days... I always use the one in the big red pan like EVERYDAY. yeah! because I'm ashamed on my face. I always have blemishes. i dont want to be bared faced when I'm going school or going out.I dont know! like im not complete when i dont have makeup on. but I only applied thin light strokes with a wet sponge so that It's not obvious that I used foundation. haha!

oh and the shade for me is AMBER ROSE. Its perfect for my skintone :) plus It doesnt break me out.
it costs Php180?? (i dont remember na!) haha.

next of is the white pan.

smaller version and costs 90 i think? Its like the bigger version. all the same. but this shade is puggy pink...
Pink again! but what I like this product is that it oxidizes. :)

So this i my review for cake foundies :)

Thank you for reading my blog!

Krave Minerale Products (concealer and skin hydrator)

I first saw it to the blog of Say (saytiocoartillero.blogspot.com)

she review it . so I got curious and I gave it a try .. :)

First of ...

Is the mineral concealer..

I love the fact that it's mineral
because it doesn't have harmful ingredients to it . It has golden jojoba, levomenol, allantollin and pro vitamin b5..

It' like in a lip balm form.. so handy..

The concealer itself is creamy.. and easy to blend. It has no bothering smell. and It has only 1 shade.. the neutral shade which can fit for all (I think?)

Swatches:

(Not Blended)

(blended)

It covers minor blemishes and redness..
But for me... I don't like to put it on my undereye area because it cakes a little and I don't see the result.. (i have dry dry undereye area which i think I have to pick the liquid concealer.)

But over all I like this concealer.. costs at Php275 :)

Moving on,

the second one I bought is the Oil eliminator and skin hydrator.. which can be primer or a finishing veil..
It has pearl powder.. (which gives you the "glow" and "healthy"effect)

It came with round plastic container --> 3g nt wt..

Inside:

has a sifter and mini sponge puff?(i dunno what they call it) included.

I test it before going to school. PS: I'm a sweaty and oily faced gal :) but.. unfortunately..
It does'nt do anything to prevent it.
But i love the effect of the pearl powder :)

It is priced at Php285..

Oh, I bought these at CaramelSundae Online ..

That' all pretties!

4u2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder SPF 15 PA ++

Well, I was eyeing on face powders because I want a new one that is cheap at the same time, that has great quality..... (yeah It's me)

I searched and found on the blog of Say... (saytiocoartillero.blogspot.com) the 4u2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder SPF 15 PA ++ .. i was impressed..

but, after 2 or 3 weeks after I found on Say's blog, and despite of busy busy super busy schedule, I have no time to go to the mall....

after a month, and I have time, I decided to stroll in the mall.... specially, the beauty section(fave part)..

SO....... luckily, I found 4u2 dreamgirl stall.... then I asked the saleslady where's the 4u2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder... She pointed out the last remaining powder.. but damn! it's not my shade... it was dark for me.. I'm unlucky that time.. So I decided to buy different face powder which was PINKIE SWEAR TWO WAY CAKE... (I'll review it some time)...

after 2 months? I came back to 4u2 dreamgirl stall and finally!!! They have the shade 02! my shade.... at last.. I was happy and didn't think twice.. and bought it..

I currently use it.. EVERYDAY...

so what happened to the packaging? the logo and design scraped off :'< too bad... but I like it because it's small...easy to carry.. plus it's pink.. so girly... and i forgot, it has mirror inside...

It has 3 shades... 01 is soooo light for me... I guess it's suitable for mestisas.. porcelain ones.. 02 is my shade.. neutral...fair... :) 03 is for morenas..

It has also sponge inside it.. but I don't use it... I use a powder brush instead.

plus point: it has spf! yey!

And as Say's review, I'm so amazed that it doesn't cake... even if my face get oily, it doesn't...

yes expect that it doesn't prevent oilyness after hours... but you can retouch if you want...

overall : 4/5 :)

Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer

hello my dear sweethearts! :)

Today I'll post my review for Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer....

It cost around 250php... Available in Etude House Branches...
I am so sad when i found out that this baby has a new packaging... it's so much cuter than this one.. It was pink.. but they have the same size of course....
I think it has 2 shades?? not sure but I bought the shade 01 which was applicable to fair skintones..

It comes with a doe foot applicator which is unhygienic to some...

Then I like the smell... It's like a baby's lotion.. :)

It has creamy thick formula...perfect for covering blemishes..

So here's the swatch at my wrist...

It perfectly matches my skintone...
It covers some pimples... (if you have bumps with redness, the redness will lessen but the bump wont). :)

But what don't like about it is that when I put it on my undereye, even if i put little amount. it became cakey.... and also creases...
ugh.. i hate it...

Overall, i rate this 2/5 stars... :)

Cheers! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

Pure Beauty:Jasmine Water BB Cream

This is my first post for this ending year.. 2012.. and tomorrow, it's 2013!! Yey! :)

To begin with,What first is a BB cream????

BB cream stands for blemish balm, blemish base, or beblesh balm (apparently because of a trademark in Korea on the word "blemish"), and in Western markets, beauty balm.
BB cream is promoted as an all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer, over serum and moisturizer as a regular foundation, and under powder, depending on the desired amount of coverage. (Courtesy of Wikipedia )

I have some factors when it comes to bb creams..
1. The Price.... ( I'm price-conscious.. i don't buy expensive products.. I prefer drugstore products.)
2. The Quality.. (Even though it's cheap, I always test it twice or thrice before I buy.If I'm not sure about the product, I always find another one..)
3. The Ingredients.. ( I always view the back of the product to see the ingredients--to be sure that it can't harm my skin oh and to add, bb creams do have SPF right? so plus points if it has higher SPF..)
4. The Shade... ( BB creams that has 1 or 2 shades available is so annoying because sometimes, it doesn't suit my skintone. :)
5. The Formulation ... ( I like having the perfect blend.. not to watery and not to thick..)

I've searched many beauty blogs to see what's their recommended bb creams.. but almost 50% of their creams were expensive.. then I've found interesting one.. The pure beauty jasmine water bb cream ---- it was the first bb cream i've ever tried..

(front part)

It costs php300 .. and can be bought at Watsons, and SM department stores..

(back part)

Can you see??? It's made in Korea :) plus its a plus point that it have expiration date on the box (sorry i dont find the box of it):< .. Here's the swatch....

the shade is pinkish but it blends perfectly to my neutral skin tone. :)

the texture is perfect ...but be sure to apply as fast as you can because it tends to become streaky......... and a little amount is soo enough to cover your face.. i remember when i apply so much of it.. my face got so cakey... as in.... I'm so noob that time.. haha.

hmmmmmmm.... and oh! I love the smell also.. it has a smell of a jasmine.. (of course it's obvious). haha...

what I dont like is that the pumping tube is so so lame.. I mean, when you get the tube in downward position, the bb cream gets out easily and it spills sometimes... So I store it in upward postion..---the pumping is so annoying.

I used it for 6 months and I don't got any breakouts. :)

but overall i rate this: 3/5 stars.. :)
